By all accounts, they were pretty good trucks too. Rugged ladder frame and suspension components made for a competent off-roader, but they were never given much consideration seeing how popular Toyota trucks were in the US, and elsewhere in the world.

I always thought so too. I think a lot of people were turned off by the styling, because it seems like the extended, er SPACECAB window should line up with the beltline of the bed.

Always liked these. Not too big, not too small. A neighbor of mine has one and I marvel at it all the time.
